FAQs About Linn Academy 2017

With Linn Academy 2017 now less than two weeks away, we have provided answers to some of the most common questions we have been asked about the event so far.


What are the start and finish times for Linn Academy 2017?

Doors will open at 8:00 with the event officially starting at 9:00. The workshops and talks will run through until 13:00 when we will break for 45 mins for lunch. The presentations will then finish at 16:30 with a networking drinks event running until 18:00.

I’m not a Linnworks customer, is there something for me?

Linn Academy 2017 is designed for any online seller, regardless of whether you are an existing Linnworks customer or not. With our incredible speaker line-up, along with a range of other benefits throughout the day, we would highly recommend coming along even if you are not currently using Linnworks.

I haven’t got a ticket yet, are there any available?

We still have some tickets remaining, although do keep in mind they are selling out fast. Tickets are priced at £50 (+VAT) and can be purchased directly from our Eventbrite page here.

Is there parking on-site?

There are 500 free parking spaces on site. Attendees will be asked to park in car-park E5, which is a short walk to the venue. If you require disabled parking, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to arrange parking closer to the venue.

  • On arrival please park in the East 5 carpark. Shown on this map.
  • You will receive a ticket at the barrier, which you will need to bring with you to the Vox.
  • At the Vox, there are ticket validator machines; simply slot the ticket in & remove, which will print an additional barcode onto the ticket, reducing it to a zero balance.
  • Note: There is no time limit on the tickets once validated, so it is recommended that you validate them upon arrival, even if departing the following day.
  • Please also be aware that if your park in any car park other than East 5, you will be subject to charges as advertised by Resorts World & the NEC- the Vox does not have the capability to validate tickets for any car parks other than East 5.

What is the agenda for the day?

Do I need to book into a talk?

There is no need to book your space at any of the talks. The main stage will be able to hold all attendees at once and the workshop stage has a capacity of 450, although this will be on a first come first serve basis.

Can I book time with a Linnworks support rep?

Last week, we announced that Linnworks customers will be able to schedule a 30 minute session with one of our support representatives. During this time, you will be able to discuss your Linnworks account face-to-face with a Linnworks expert. You can find out more here.

How do I book a 1-to-1 technical session?

When you arrive at the venue, there will be a stand clearly marked as the 1-to-1 booking desk. Once there, you can book in your 30-minute slot at a time of your choosing. All we will need from you is:

  • Your Linnworks email address
  • The topic you would like to cover

The team will include specialists from the customisation, extensibility and shipping teams, along with general support representatives, meaning regardless of your query, we will have team members on-site to help you out.

Is breakfast/lunch provided?

Both breakfast and lunch is included within the ticket price and there will also be refreshments and free tea & coffee provided throughout the day.

At 16:30 the bar will open offering free soft drinks, wine and beer. We would love for you to join us for a catch-up and a drink once the event has finished.

Where do I print my badge?

There is no need to print your badge before the event. Upon arrival, there will be a checking-in and printing station waiting for you, where you can pick up your badge and lanyard for the day.

Is Wi-Fi available?

The conference centre provides free Wi-Fi for attendees to use. To access the Wi-Fi select “The Vox” network and enter your name and email address.

What is the prize for the giveaway?

This year will see two prize giveaways, one sponsored by Linnworks and the other by US-Marketplace Tophatter. The prizes are as follows:
